CoParent Shield is a mobile application developed and operated by Livanelli LLC, a New Jersey limited liability company ("we," "us," or "our").

This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use the CoParent Shield mobile application (the "App").

2. What Information We Collect

Information You Provide

• Messages for analysis: When you use the Analyze feature, you submit text messages or communications for AI-powered analysis. This text is transmitted to Anthropic's API to generate the analysis response.
• Journal entries: Text you write in the Journal feature, including incident descriptions, dates, and notes. This data is stored exclusively on your device.
• Child script inputs: Information you provide when generating age-appropriate scripts, such as your child's age and a description of the situation.
• Onboarding information: Basic information you enter during setup (such as your general situation), stored locally on your device.
• Email address: If you sign up for early access notifications or contact us directly.

Information Collected Automatically

• Crash reports: If the app crashes, anonymous diagnostic information may be collected to help us fix the issue.
• Anonymous usage analytics: Aggregated, non-identifiable data about which features are used (e.g., "how many times was the Analyze feature opened today") to help us improve the app. This data cannot be traced back to you as an individual.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide the core features of the App, including message analysis, response suggestions, journal documentation, and child scripts
• Generate AI-powered analysis by transmitting message text to Anthropic's API
• Improve the App through anonymous, aggregated usage analytics
• Respond to your questions or support requests if you contact us
• Send you launch notifications if you signed up for early access (you can unsubscribe at any time)
• Comply with legal obligations if required

4. Data Storage and Security

On-Device Storage (Journal and Personal Data)

Your journal entries, incident documentation, and personal settings are stored in an encrypted SQLite database on your device only. This data is never transmitted to our servers or any third party. If you delete the App, this data is permanently deleted.

Message Analysis Data

When you submit a message for analysis, the text is transmitted over an encrypted HTTPS connection to our server, which forwards it to Anthropic's API. We do not store the content of messages you submit for analysis. Anthropic's handling of data transmitted to their API is governed by Anthropic's Privacy Policy.

Security Measures

• All data transmitted between the App and our server is encrypted using HTTPS/TLS
• On-device data is stored in an encrypted SQLite database
• We do not maintain databases of your personal content on our servers
• We follow industry-standard security practices to protect any data we do process

5. Third-Party Services

CoParent Shield uses the following third-party services:

Anthropic (AI Analysis)

Message text you submit for analysis is processed by Anthropic's Claude API. Anthropic's use of this data is governed by their API usage policies and privacy policy. We use Anthropic's API with settings that limit data retention to the extent possible. See Anthropic's Privacy Policy.

Apple App Store / Google Play Store

If you download the App through the App Store or Google Play, Apple or Google may collect information in accordance with their own privacy policies as part of the download and purchase process.

No Advertising Networks

We do not use any advertising networks, ad tracking, or ad-supported features. We do not share your data with advertisers.

No Data Brokers

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with data brokers or marketing companies.

6. Your Rights and Choices

Deleting Your Data

You can delete all locally stored data at any time from within the App via Settings → Privacy → Delete All Data. This action is permanent and cannot be undone. Deleting the App from your device also removes all locally stored data.

Early Access Email

If you signed up for early access notifications, you can unsubscribe at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link in any email we send, or by contacting us at privacy@coparentshield.net.

California Residents (CCPA)

California residents have rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act, including the right to know what personal information we collect, the right to delete personal information, and the right to opt out of the sale of personal information. We do not sell personal information. To exercise your rights, contact us at privacy@coparentshield.net.

European Users (GDPR)

If you are located in the European Economic Area, you have rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), including the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data, and the right to data portability. To exercise these rights, contact us at privacy@coparentshield.net.

7. Children's Privacy

CoParent Shield is designed for adults navigating co-parenting situations. The App is not directed to children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately at privacy@coparentshield.net.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make significant changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and notify users through the App. Your continued use of the App after such changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.

We will not materially reduce your privacy protections without your explicit consent.
