Privacy Policy

• Journal entries and incident documentation are private and secured to your account. Cloud sync is coming soon.
• Message text sent to Anthropic's API for analysis is not stored by CoParent Shield.
• We never sell your data to anyone.
• We don't share data with third parties except as required by law.
• You can delete all of your data anytime from inside the app.
• Analytics are anonymous and aggregated — no personally identifying information.

We collect the minimum information needed to make CoParent Shield useful:

• Messages you submit for analysis. Sent to Anthropic's API for processing. Not stored on our side.
• Journal entries — dates, descriptions, and notes you write.
• Child script inputs — child age and the situation you describe.
• Onboarding details — general context about your situation.
• Email address — only if you opt in to launch notifications.
• Crash reports and anonymous usage analytics — aggregated, non-identifying feature usage data.

We do not collect names, phone numbers, contact lists, location data, or photos (unless you manually attach them).

• Provide the core features: message analysis, response suggestions, journaling, child scripts.
• Generate AI analysis through Anthropic's API.
• Improve the app via aggregated, anonymous usage analytics.
• Respond to your support requests.
• Send launch notifications if you've opted in. Unsubscribe is available in every email.
• Comply with legal obligations.

Your content is never used to train AI models.

• Journal and personal data are stored locally on your device. Firebase Authentication signs you in. Cloud sync and browser access are coming. If you delete the app, the on-device data goes with it.
• Message analysis is sent over HTTPS to our server, then forwarded to Anthropic's API. We don't persist the text. Anthropic's privacy policy governs their handling.
• Security: HTTPS/TLS in transit, encrypted local database on device, no databases of personal content on our servers.

Cloud sync is coming. Until it ships, if you lose your device or uninstall the app, we cannot recover journal data — please keep regular device backups.

• Anthropic — Claude API powers message analysis. Subject to Anthropic's privacy policy.
• Firebase — Google's authentication service. Email and account ID are stored. Firebase does not receive your journal or message content.
• App stores — Apple and Google may collect data per their own policies.

No advertising networks. No data brokers. No data sales.

• Delete all your data: Settings → Privacy → Delete All Data. This is permanent.
• Unsubscribe from launch emails by clicking the unsubscribe link or emailing privacy@coparentshield.net.
• California (CCPA): right to know, delete, and opt-out of sale. We don't sell data. Email privacy@coparentshield.net to exercise these rights.
• EU (GDPR): right to access, correct, delete, and data portability. Same email above.

CoParent Shield is designed for adults and is not directed at children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us information, please contact privacy@coparentshield.net immediately and we'll act on it.

This policy may be updated. Significant changes will trigger a new "Last updated" date and an in-app notification. We will not materially reduce your privacy protections without explicit consent.
